Who is Cerky?
Pierre Lorrain, also known as Cerky, is the founder and sound engineer of Cerky Studio.
Born into a musical family environment, he discovered his passion for sound at an early age and began his musical journey at 15, in 2005, as a scratch DJ under the name DJ CERK. He quickly moved into Hip-Hop and Electronic production, collaborating with local artists, before founding the group A.S.O.M. and the duo DF&CERK, with whom he toured France for concerts and competitions, including the Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges.
Confronted with the technical demands of music production, he developed a deep passion for studio work. He trained in electronics (BTS) and at the Institut International de l’Image et du Son (3IS), while developing his home studio, which gradually evolved into Cerky Studio.
Throughout his journey, he crossed paths with numerous influential artists (A.S.O.M., DF, SMR, 75e Session, Népal, Vald, Ormaz, Claudio Capéo…) who helped him expand his experience and artistic vision.
In 2017, he founded Cerky Studio near Mulhouse in France, creating a professional space for artists from the region and beyond. Today, based in the Mulhouse (France), the studio has grown into a fully professional environment, both in terms of equipment and service quality, specializing in mixing and mastering.
In 2022, he collaborated with Claudio Capéo and his musical director Gil’us to co-produce, record, and mix the album Rose des Vents, now certified Platinum with a Diamond single. He also joined the group on stage as a musician (keys and turntables) for over 70 concerts across France.
